Considering
the characteristics of the substrates, desired production
speeds and the need for manual, automatic or semi-automatic
splicing. CCC can assist in the selection of an unwind or
rewind that is best to meet your requirements.
Descriptions of a few unwinds are as follows:
| |
Simple unwind: Has one or more shafts. The machine must
be stopped to make a manual splice or paired with an
accumulator for continuous operation.
Drop splice/two position: The line must be running
at a reduced speed to facilitate a splice.
Simple stand or turret 1,2,3,or 4 position. Manual
lap splices can be made at one position while the web
is winding in another position at process line speeds.
Turret with automatic splice and transfer: Has
two or more shafts or shaftless. The cut, splice and
transfers are made automatically in either over or under
positions.
In addition, there are many variations and designs of
unwinds and rewinds to fit the customers requirements;
i.e. to wind or unwind heavy, extensible, fragile, or
other extraordinary substrates. Shaft-less as well as
other innovative designs that allow automatic loading
and unloading of rolls is available.
Consult your CCC representative for assistance in selecting
a rewind or unwind that fits your converting needs. |
